Why you should have your reception at |

Debbie and Al: On Saturday, April 21, 2007 we celebrated our daughter Alexas Bat Mitzvah at the Temple. We were only the second family to do so. Alexa is our third and last child to have gone through this wonderful, exciting, but also sometimes stressful experience. When we realized that the new Temple would be ready for Alexas Bat Mitzvah, we did not hesitate to book her reception there, sight unseen. We felt that it would be so nice to celebrate this special occasion in our new Temple home. Having held our two sons Bar Mitzvah receptions off-site, we also thought that staying in one place certainly had its benefits. We would not have to schlep lots of kids by school bus to another site. Most of our family guests were traveling quite a distance, so saving them more driving time was a plus. We also had a number of elderly relatives and it was so much easier for them to remain in one place. When all was said and done . . . the room looked spectacular, and it was a joyous evening for everyone who attended. . . . We had about 125 people in attendance, including 25 children. Luckily, we had a glorious day weather-wise, and the cocktail hour was out on the patio. The bar was outside, with a few tables, and all of the guests. Quite a few people commented on the fabulous view. |

Diana and David: On Saturday, March 3, 2007 my husband, David, and I celebrated our daughter Emilys Bat Mitzvah with a party in Temple Beth Elohims beautiful new social hall, Vista on the Hill. We felt privileged to be having it here since it was the first Bar or Bat Mitzvah in our new Temple home.
I can not say enough positive things about it. The pleasure of moving from the synagogue to the lobby area and having a beautiful cocktail hour waiting was wonderful. We did not have to get in our cars and drive somewhere nor did we need to get transportation for Emilys friends. After the cocktail hour, we entered the social hall which our caterer set up beautifully. We had approximately 120 people and felt the room was a perfect size. We received many comments about the breathtaking views and the over-all warm feeling in the room. We look forward to having our daughter Julies Bat Mitzvah here in 2009. |

Judy and Joe: Our son Alexs Bar Mitzvah took place on Saturday, November 17, 2007. We held the reception at Vista on the Hill, and it was wonderful. It was simple but elegant. The facility was just the right size to accommodate our 150 guests, various buffet tables, DJ and a large dance floor, all at the same time without feeling crowded.

Mindi and Jan: Our daughter Roris Bat Mitzvah on September 8, 2007 was just wonderful. The space was fine for about 140 guests. The cocktail hour on the terrace was awesome; the view was fabulous. It was so nice to be able to walk from the sanctuary right into the cocktail hour on the terrace and in the lobby. |
